Roman Experience Day

On the last day of term, year 4 had lots of fun commemorating the end of the their Roman Britain topic by taking part in a whole day packed full of Roman experiences.
This included using our fantastic shields to create the battle formations which the Romans were famous for.
 Ready to march.
Mr Murphy even joined in with the fun.
 The Anti-Calvary Formation.
Hamza even made a start to sketching out the formations as if planning out his very own invasion.

This was followed by some Roman games including Roman numerals snap, Roman top trumps (as created by the children!) and some tricky word searches to test our knowledge.

In the afternoon, we were able to enjoy a Roman feast and even had fun competing in a quiz as a whole year group.
